We have good news DC Comic fans as it has been announced that Warner Brothers  2018 Aquaman  Film is set to be directed by none other than Furious 7's director James Wan. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. “We’ve been so lucky to have worked with James, first on New Line’s ‘The Conjuring’ and now on their upcoming ‘The Conjuring 2,'” says Silverman, “and are thrilled to have him on board as we continue to expand our DC slate. The ‘Aquaman’ film will be a major tentpole picture for us and James’s span of work has proven him able to take on any manner of project, bringing his incredible creative talent and unique voice to the material.”
The film already has the former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa set to star as the king of the sea himself Aquaman. The character will also appear in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With James Wan ushering the helms we can really expect a lot of good things to happen. Seems like Warner Brothers really want to get this one right and hopefully Wan can do justice to ever so made fun of king of Atlantis. It is rumored that they will be casting Aquaman as serious and brooding, saddled with an ill reputation, and struggling to find a true role and purpose beyond his public side as a deposed king and a fallen hero. Aquaman was included in the Justice League of America comic book series, appearing with the team in their very first adventure and was also a founding member of the team. We have a few more years before we actually finally get to see Aquaman fully adapted on the live screen so until then we can all take our time and watch Warner Brothers as they Unite the Seven.
